Business Issues Deploying Internet/Intranet Technologies

Tim Mahaffey, Arthur Andersen

Our speaker will present the business reasons for deploying Internet/Intranet technologies. This can be an overlooked and misunderstood area. While technical people often don't see why management just doesn't buy into the latest and greatest technologies, management doesn't always understand the technical implications of deploying and supporting some of the latest and greatest tools, or understand their technical limits. With the recent explosion in "Net" technology these issues have become more apparent. There is a lot of confusion with Internet and Intranet and the daily list of new and available tools. This presentation will help bridge the gap between management and technical people and identify some of the best business reasons to deploy Internet and Intranet technologies.
